Dar Laor

Visual Communication Design
Award for an emerging designer

“I realized that I am must more interested in being the ‘mind’ that thinks the act of design rather than just the drawing ‘hand’ or the observing ‘eye’.”
Born in 1988, Dar Laor is a graduate of the Visual Communication department at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2015). After graduation, she worked for the ReLevant studio, and in 2017 founded her eponymous design studio.
As an independent designer, Laor specializes in design and branding in the areas of culture, society, education and community, and the Culture and Education Department at the National Library of Israel works exclusively with her studio. Among her clients are the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, the Musrara The Naggar Multidisciplinary School of Art and Society in Jerusalem, Hanina Gallery, IGY (Israel Gay Youth), Israel’s Prime Minster’s Office, and more.

Laor is a recipient of the 2022 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Emerging Visual Communication Designers.
