Orit Bergman
תקשורת חזותית
"Children's culture is my main focus as a creator. This is the earliest meeting point of children with art, and it has a critical long-term influence on their development, tastes, and artistic knowledge. During my years of activity in the field, I have explored different ways of telling a story using words, 2D and 3D illustration, and different formats: books, site-specific exhibitions, and the stage, aiming to expand and reinterpret the term illustration beyond its traditional boundaries."
Orit Bergman engages in illustration and writing for children, examining how the interaction between text and illustration creates a complete story. She gives the illustrations, which are "read" by the child, significant responsibility for the development of the story, using as few words as possible. Her approach to illustration combines complex topics such as loss and grief, competition, and possessiveness, along with humor, playfulness, and imagination - the three "superpowers" that children can summon.
Orit Bergman was nominated for the 2024 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Established Visual Communication Designers.
