Nomi Geiger
Visual Communication
"Visual communication can be defined in many ways. On the one hand it’s about giving service, it has an aspect of functionality and problem solving. On the other hand, it’s a form of expression, and conveys emotions, stories and thoughts. Both these aspects interest me. By simultaneously working with clients and on self initiated work I have developed a work ethic that combines both aspects that reflect in the work I do. It gives me the opportunity to play and combine between the practical and the creative."
Nomi Geiger is a graphic designer and lecturer specializing in design that combines functionality with personal expression. In her own independent studio, she creates commercial projects alongside personal works, she is the head of design and teaches at the Visual Communication Design Department at Bezalel. She draws inspiration from the complex Israeli reality and the challenges of the contemporary visual communication world. Her work is influenced by three central axes: the reality of being a designer in Israel, commitment to a meticulous and multi-layered design process, and the constant need for self-expression.
Nomi Geiger was nominated for the 2024 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Established Visual Communication Designers.
