Maya Arazi
Textile, Fashion & Jewerly Design
Fashion designer Maya Arazi is a graduate of the Fashion Design department at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art and has a master’s degree in fashion design from the Royal College of Art in London. She is the owner of the successful LEV fashion label and is a faculty member at Shenkar’s Department of Fashion Design, teaching graduate students in the design program.
Arazi worked as a designer in the Italian luxury fashion houses Valentino and Max Mara, and as senior designer at the Israeli fashion label Comme Il Faut for 6 years. Her independent label specializes in producing handmade clothing items in limited one-of-a-kind series.
Through her fashion label she is attempting to pioneer a new model that makes use of fashion surpluses, and which works symbiotically in collaboration with fashion companies. In recent years she has been working with the Material Exchange group to explore how design and group interaction can promote environmental ideas.
Arazi was nominated for the 2022 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Established fashion, textile, and jewelry designers.
