Koby Levy

Visual Communication Design

“In my work, I move between personal projects and collaborations that are dynamic interdisciplinary efforts with multiple artists from different fields, to enable flexibility of thought and creation in various (tailor made) projects. The public visual space is characterized by the dominance of commercial branding and publicity firms, which view it as a profit-based consumer arena. I seek to see the space as an arena based on well-being, sharing, and responsibility.”

Graphic designer Koby Levy founded The League visual communication studio in 2005, and is currently working in Tel Aviv. His work focuses on exhibition design, catalogs and artist books, working with cultural organizations, museums, galleries, musicians, fashion designers, design and art schools and more. He holds a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Visual Communication from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and a master’s degree in art from Bezalel and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Since 2010 he is a lecturer in the Visual Communication Department at Bezalel.

Levy was nominated for the 2022 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Established Visual Communication Designers.
