Jonathan Lax (YONIL)
Visual Communication Design
Graphic designer, illustrator, and artist Jonathan Lax is a graduate of Holon Institute of Technology. His work combines and merges “classic” graphic design and various artforms such as graffiti, street art, and music. His designs featured in festivals, music records and numerous products, operating at several different levels to form a unified language that incorporates photographed or illustrated images and typography.
His unique design signature is influenced by 20th century art, pop art, surrealism, and manual printmaking techniques, such as silk-screen printing and letterpress printing, all of which are given his personal interpretation as designer and artist, working together with the opinions of the client and the work itself.
Lax was nominated for the 2022 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Emerging Visual Communication Designers.
