Dov Ganchrow
Product & Object Design
“Life under the pandemic showed me that there is no gap between life and design. Our experiences, thoughts, and actions are all intertwined. The idea of a day partitioned into such narrow definitions as ‘work’, ‘family’, and ‘play’ limits the reality of our existence".
Independent product designer Dov Ganchrow graduated with distinction from the department of Industrial Design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (1993) and is currently an associate professor at the department’s undergraduate and graduate programs and the owner of an independent design studio. The studio was originally cofounded with Prof. Ami Drach (1963-2012) and was called Amidov. The studio was, and continues to be, a major force in the Israeli design industry, designing medical equipment, museum exhibitions, lighting and furniture, as well as experimental and speculative projects.
Ganchrow was nominated for the 2021 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Established Product Designers.
