David Weksler
Fashion Design
“My work as a fashion designer is rooted in a deep commitment to sustainability, radical creativity, and a cultural conversation. I create garments and performances that challenge conventional ideas of value, beauty, and consumption, using fashion as a tool for environmental responsibility and sharing my views of the world around me"
David Weksler is a fashion designer working at the intersection of sustainability, material research, and contemporary craft. A graduate of Shenkar, he holds an M.A. in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins. Weksler works primarily with pre-loved garments, discarded textiles, and industrial leftovers, which he approaches as creative starting points rather than limitations. Through this process, he develops garments that highlight material history, labor, and transformation.
His work draws on traditions of mending and preservation while engaging with contemporary ideas of identity, queerness, and subcultural aesthetics. In 2025, he launched DWR, a commercial line that translates his upcycled approach into scalable production. The line maintains zero-waste principles and material reuse while operating within a broader commercial framework.
David Weksler was nominated for the 2026 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Emerging Fashion Designers.
