“My interests revolve around fashion, art, and pop culture - and those worlds, or at least the emotions they stir, are at the heart of my work. The lack of visual boldness in my upbringing left its mark - it shaped my personality, my surroundings, and my design sensibility. Color guides me, moves me, excites me”
Tal Batit graduated with honors from the Industrial Design Department at HIT and has since focused on innovative ceramic design. His work draws inspiration from ancient ceramic traditions and diverse cultures, yet is wrapped in a contemporary color palette and a distinctly postmodern finish.
His award-winning creations, exhibited widely in Israel and abroad, are characterized by a blend of natural materiality and conceptual twists. Batit consistently explores contrasts, dissonances, and contrasts - both visual and tactile.
Tal Batit was nominated for the 2025 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Emerging Product Designer.
