Shimrit Ben Yaakov is the founder and owner of Mishimono, an independent fashion label established in 2020. What began with the creation of a pink kimono during her recovery from surgery later became one of the first pieces in the brand’s debut collection. Over time, the label evolved while maintaining femininity, romance, and comfort as its core values. Through her work, Shimrit seeks to create garments that can simultaneously protect the body, allow freedom of movement and independence, while preserving a sense of femininity and beauty.
In January 2024, the brand launched its first bridal collection in response to a growing demand from its community for silhouettes that are both elegant and romantic. The line serves as a tribute to nostalgic glamour, romantic and seductive, yet maintaining that signature Mishimono nonchalance. Our technical approach focuses on modern comfort, specifically through innovative, soft-integrated corsets that provide powerful support without the restrictive feel of a costume.
