Maya Ben-David

Product Design

“Living in times shaped by ongoing conflicts, the act of designing itself becomes a challenge. Yet within that challenge, I’ve found that embedding inquiry into the design process invites compassion, playfulness, and the courage to imagine what might be”

Maya Ben-David is a designer, researcher, and senior lecturer fusing material, technology, and society. Over the past decade, she has consistently explored the meeting point between advanced technologies - such as 3D printing, digital scanning, and generative models with material worlds and human sensations.
Her work focuses on an open, process-driven, and investigative approach that fosters a productive encounter between design and science, viewing the design process itself as a means to create connections, shift perceptions, and forge new links. Beyond her academic role, Ben-David initiates multidisciplinary projects with partners from design, science, and technology fields - currently leads the industrial design division at Strauss Water.

Maya Ben-David was nominated for the 2025 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Established Product Designer.
