Through my design works, I attempt to create aesthetics that touch the soul, albeit whimsically, revealing layers and irony in a fresh, amused, surprising way".
Costume designer, hatmaker, artist and creative Maor Zabar is a graduate of the Fashion Design department at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art (2003). During his studies he was the recipient of the Stanley Heller design award for outstanding students and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Creative Excellence Grant (Sharett) for costume design. After graduating, Zabar founded an independent costume design studio for theater, dance and opera. His eponymous millinery atelier was established in 2014, manufacturing original, colorful and playful hats in a variety of techniques
Zabar was nominated for the 2022 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Established Fashion, Textile, and Jewelry Designers.
