Holyland civilians
Textile, Fashion & Jewerly Design
“We believe this is our mission, fashion is our platform, and design is our instrument. As designers, we observe and respond. We create without borders or boundaries—from biblical text to Instagram stories, from ritual to visual, from culture to cult, from that which is broken to that which is whole".
Anat Meshulam and Dor Chen, graduates of the Fashion Design department at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art, are behind the label Holyland Civilians. After many years spent working for other design labels, they launched their independent brand in April 2016, offering seasonal collections that reflect a unique urban environment and its holy surroundings—workwear combined with resort-wear. Their work offers a unique and personal perspective on their dreams for this place, the holy land.
Meshulam and Chen were nominated for the 2022 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Established Fashion, Textile, and Jewelry Designers.
