David Weksler
Textile,Fashion & Jewerly Design
David Weksler holds a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art, and a master’s degree in fashion design with a specialization in textiles from Central Saint Martins. His work emphasizes the development of sustainable crafts and design that externalize the fact that the garment is recycled.
The basis for his design and creation is sustainability, which he considers to be a necessity in today’s world. Waxler’s brand aims to inspire and encourage creativity and personal initiative. He believes that there is room for playfulness as well as a change in the current perception of fashion: There’s nothing wrong with shabby, repaired, or treated and renewed clothes – on the contrary, such clothes tell us much about the wearer’s inner world and values.
Weksler was nominated for the 2022 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Emerging Fashion, Textile, and Jewelry Designers.
