Avraham Cornfeld
Product & Object Design
Type designer and entrepreneur who loves to collaborate with good people to create awesome things. Cornfeld is the founder of the AlefAlefAlef type-foundry, a lecturer at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art, and enjoys photography, design, programming and kayaking. He graduated from the Visual Communication department at Shenkar (2010) and the Photographic Communication department at Hadassah Academic College (2006).
Cornfeld designed a wide variety of Hebrew and Latin scripts, including the multi-lingual Almoni typeface; the Ambivalenti typeface, inspired by Latin slab serif typefaces; Synopsis, a Hebrew typeface inspired by the classis Frank Ruehl typeface; and Atlas, which was used in Shenkar’s 40th anniversary publications (2009), and later sold commercially after several modifications and improvements.
Cornfeld was nominated for the 2020 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Emerging Visual Communication Designers.
