Alona Komsky
Product & Object Design
Designer Alona Komsky is a graduate of the Industrial Design department at Hadassah Academic College, whose career in designing and developing textile products for leading international brands spans over two decades. Her products have won prestigious design awards (Red Dot, IDEA, TIPA) and are considered international bestsellers. She began her career at KATA, where she was senior designer for many years and also head of the company’s development department. She led product development for the National Geographic brand as solo designer, headed the Manfrotto development department, and co-founded Miggo, for which she designed the majority of textile products, as well as hundreds of various textile products for other international brands.
In recent years, Komsky focuses on sustainable design with the founding of the brand AKKONIQ, which specializes in minimalist, sustainable bags and accessories.
Komsky was nominated for the 2021 Edmond de Rothschild Design Award for Senior Product Designers.
